CHILL BOX (“CHILL BOX”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal and user data handled through the CHILL BOX mobile application, website and related services. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed, how it is used, when it may be shared, how it is protected, and the choices available to you.
1. Information We May Collect
Depending on the features you use, CHILL BOX may process account and authentication information; profile and family settings; watch history, watchlist and continue-watching progress; search and discovery activity; device/session identifiers and push-notification tokens; analytics, crash and diagnostic information; advertising-related information; voice-search input when microphone permission is granted; creator profile and uploaded media; creator KYC and verification documents; subscription, payment, entitlement, refund and transaction information; creator wallet and payout information; rewards, OTT Coins, coupons and referral activity; and reports, moderation and safety information.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to operate and secure CHILL BOX, authenticate accounts, manage profiles and devices, provide playback and downloads, maintain watchlists and viewing progress, provide search and discovery, deliver notifications, verify subscriptions and entitlements, operate rewards and referrals, support Creator Studio and creator payouts, perform KYC and eligibility checks, prevent fraud and abuse, moderate content, diagnose crashes and technical issues, improve the service, provide support, and meet legal or regulatory obligations.
3. Third-Party Services
CHILL BOX may use service providers including Google Firebase services (such as Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Messaging, Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Functions and App Check), Google Sign-In, Google Play Billing, Google Play Integrity, Google Mobile Ads, Razorpay where enabled and applicable, device or operating-system speech-recognition services, and cloud infrastructure or security providers necessary to operate the service.
4. Payments and Subscriptions
For subscriptions, purchases, renewals, cancellations, refunds and entitlement verification, CHILL BOX may process product or plan identifiers, transaction or order identifiers, purchase tokens or verification data, payment-provider identifiers and subscription lifecycle information. Full payment-card credentials are handled by the relevant payment provider rather than being required by CHILL BOX for app-purchase verification.
5. Creator, KYC and Payout Data
If you use Creator Studio, CHILL BOX may process creator profile information, uploaded videos and images, content metadata, moderation records, creator analytics, revenue, wallet and payout-related records. Where KYC or payout verification applies, identity information, verification documents, verification status, payout account references, UPI ID or other supported payout identifiers may be processed for verification, security, fraud prevention, compliance and payout purposes.
6. Voice Search and Microphone
If you choose to use voice search, CHILL BOX requests microphone access so that your spoken query can be converted into text. Voice recognition may be performed through device, operating-system or speech-recognition services available on your device. Microphone access is used only when a feature requiring it is invoked and permission has been granted.
7. Analytics, Diagnostics and Advertising
CHILL BOX may use analytics and crash-reporting services to understand app usage, improve reliability and diagnose technical problems. Eligible app experiences may also use advertising services such as Google Mobile Ads. Advertising and analytics providers may process technical, device, service-generated or advertising identifiers as permitted by applicable law and device settings.
8. Data Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including authenticated access controls, Firebase security rules, backend-authoritative verification for sensitive operations, Firebase App Check, Google Play Integrity where supported, server-side payment verification, and protections against fraud, replay and duplicate processing. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for service delivery, account management, security, fraud prevention, dispute handling, payment reconciliation, creator payouts, regulatory compliance, audit requirements and enforcement of legal rights. Transaction, subscription, refund, payout, KYC, moderation, tax, fraud-prevention and audit records may need to be retained longer where required for legitimate legal, accounting, security or regulatory purposes.
10. Account and Data Deletion
Users who create an account will be provided a discoverable in-app path to request permanent account deletion and an external web resource on the CHILL BOX website. When a valid deletion request is completed, CHILL BOX will delete or de-identify associated account data that is not required to be retained for legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention, payment, accounting, regulatory or dispute-resolution purposes. Temporary deactivation is not treated as permanent deletion.
11. Children and Kids Profiles
CHILL BOX may provide Kids profiles or age-related viewing controls intended to help restrict unsuitable content. Parents or guardians are responsible for creating and managing profiles for minors and supervising use of the service where required. If we become aware that personal information has been collected in violation of applicable child-privacy law, we will take reasonable steps to address the issue.
12. Your Choices
Depending on your device, account, region and app version, you may be able to manage profiles and app preferences, control notifications, grant or revoke microphone permission, manage linked devices, sign out, manage advertising-related choices available through your device, and request account deletion.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, technology, legal requirements or data practices change. The updated version will display a revised “Last Updated” date and, where required, we may provide additional notice of material changes.
